Whether you've just unwrapped your Peloton bike or if you'd had it for a few years now, sometimes you get in a "ride rut." You can't seem to pick a ride or none of them seem all that appealing or motivating at the moment. If that's you, you're going to want to save this post!
If you're in need of a pick me up, a push for a PR, or just a good cry....let's take it to the bike. The Peloton bike is my stress reliever, my therapy, and my sanity keeper. I've taken some time to compile ten of my favorite rides that I've taken since I got my bike. In no particular order, here are my top 10 Peloton rides that I've experienced in the 2 years I've owned my Peloton bike.
This ride was the first ride that Cody taught after he'd come back from fighting COVID-19. You could literally feel his gratitude and thankful spirit in so many ways. Not only was he so thankful that he'd survived the sickness, but he was so damn grateful that he could finally workout again and move his body. We definitely take for granted the ability to get on a bike that goes nowhere and just escape. This ride gave me ALL the feels (plus is has a playlist full of FIRE pop songs!).
This ride was SO unique since it featured every one of the Peloton instructors who teach on the bike. Many of these instructors I'd never taken classes with, so it was a really great way to get to know each of them.
Sundays with Love is a special ride series that is hosted by Ally Love. Each week she explores a different virtue, and this ride focuses on gratitude. Peloton describes the ride as, "Ground yourself in sweat and spirit with uplifting music, thought-provoking themes, and spiritual inspiration in a celebration of life." Basically it's sweaty church on a bike. AMAZING.
I've taken this ride at least 3 times. Maybe more. I'm a huge Lizzo fan for many reasons, but mostly because she's so unapologetically HER. She doesn't give a F who likes her, who approves of her, what people think of her body or fashion choices. She lives her life. Also she's got some fire songs to rock out on the bike to! Robin's powerhouse energy makes this ride and playlist come to life. You will NOT regret this ride!
GUURL. Ally Love is on FIRE in this ride!! I can't decide which Ally Love ride is more amazing: this one or her Beyonce ride. Her energy and costume is so fierce in this ride! Tons of Nicki Minaj jams will get your heart rate and energy level through the roof on this ride! Highly recommend! (bonus points if you take the Nicki Minaj full body strength class with Jess Sims, too!)
Two of my favorite instructors, Alex Toussaint and Tunde Oyeneyin, team up for a black history month celebration ride that DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!! The chemistry between the two of them on the stage together is SO AWESOME. The playlist is full of amazing hip-hop and R&B songs. One of my fave songs on this ride is "I'll Make Love to You" by Boyz II Men. If that doesn't bring you back, I'm not sure what will (or maybe I'm just a lot older than you!)
I know at first glance this ride may not seem amazing, but let me tell you it is. This ride hit me in all kinds of ways. I cried, I felt gratitude, I pushed harder than I had in a long time...all in the same ride. Kendall does an amazing job guiding us through the playlist while she brings awareness to mental health during this 30 minute ride.
This ride was SO HYPED up by the Peloton tribe, and it's totally worth its weight in gold. I'm a huge Beyonce fan (even more so after this ride!) Again, the electric energy between Alex and Tunde is SO ADDICTING!! I would give anything to be in that studio with them taking this ride in person! The playlist is fire. The energy is fire. The hype is fire. Tunde's outfit is fire. Just take the ride.
YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.
Need I say why this ride is amazing?
1. The Greatest Showman has the most epic soundtrack EVER.
2. Robin is the queen of Peloton, so of course she brings the fire to this ride!
3. IT'S THE GREATEST SHOWMAN SOUNDTRACK!
Honestly, I think I love this ride so much because my kids love The Greatest Showman movie. It's been a staple around our house for the last year. Every morning my son asks for us to listen to that in the car on the way to preschool. It definitely holds a special place in my heart, and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do.
Anyone in the Peloton tribe knows how much Cody loves Britney Spears. #iykyk
I, too, grew up with Britney Spears. We all loved her and her music. I'm still team Britney to this day! I was SO PUMPED for this ride when it came out in July of 2020. This ride is hands down my fave ride of all time. An interesting backstory about the first time I took this ride: I wasn't able to take the ride live or right when it came out. I was sick (very sick) in bed with COVID-19 in July of 2020. The worst two weeks ever. Not to mention it was my 35th birthday. When I realized that the Britney Spears ride was dropping while I was sick (aka I'm missing out), I was so upset I threw my phone across the room. Yes, I tend to lean a bit on the dramatic side. So when I got well and was able to get back in the saddle again (literally) the first ride I took was this one. It had SO MUCH meaning for me! I was so dang grateful that I was alive and well and recovering. I was so happy to be back on a bike that goes nowhere jamming out to Britney Spears with my fave hype man, Cody! So that's the back story to why I love this ride and why it topped my top 10 at #1.
There you have it. Those are my top 10 Peloton rides of all time. Go take them and report back to me which ones are your fave! Shoot me a message on Instagram and tell me your faves.
If you aren't following me on the Peloton leaderboard, my name is BossFitMama. I love high-fives, and I'm way too competitive for my own good. See you out there on the leaderboard.
Until next time...
(and keep pedaling!)
